I'm afraid I've lost my mojo for doing projects around the house. I still want to do all the things on my summer projects list, but the enthusiasm and urgency is gone.
As well, I have to get the kids ready to go on their respective Scout and Girl Guide trips. Both leave Friday--Aurelia at about 5am or so, my son in the evening. I'll be looking after my three and a half year old nephew on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well. I'm feeling a bit stretched.
I have started a diet to lose weight. I decided to use the Mayo Clinic diet which is a food exchange (or portion control) regime based upon the food pyramid. I'm also using cognitive therapy techniques as outlined by Judith Beck in The Beck Diet Solution.
The gallery wall above the sofa is still in progress, and I have purchased paint to do the Master bedroom, but it will be a while before I get to those things.
My focus this week is to put the house back together and re-establish my housekeeping routines while I simultaneously pull out whatever the kids need and get them packed.
